Call for IFPH Steering Committee Nominations: Treasurer and two (2) at-large Delegates

The call for nominations is now open for three positions in the International Federation for Public History’s steering committee. The 3 positions are for a 4-year term (renewable once) starting on January 1, 2017 (1/1/2017 – 31/12/2020). Self-nomination and nominations of individuals by a third party are welcome! Candidates and Voters should be regular 2016 IFPH-FIHP members.

  • Positions

One Treasurer

The Treasurer will oversee the financial affairs of the Federation. The Treasurer will present annual reports during annual general assemblies. One of the first tasks for the Treasurer will be to take care of and supervise the creation of a new bank account for the IFPH.

Two At-large Delegates

Responsibility for the Delegates include the creation and management of committees, participation in the IFPH communication, and participation in the IFPH annual conference’s program committee.

  • Requested materials

All applicants should provide the following:

-the position(s) for which the applicant applies to (if the applicant applies for more than 1 position, they should be ranked)

-a brief biographical statement

-a photograph

-a statement of interest in the position and in the IFPH.

A description of possible institutional support for the maintenance of IFPH communications as well as travel on behalf of the organization is highly desirable, along with proficiency in English and another language. The IFPH is committed to maintain a Steering Committee which represents its diverse membership.”

Elections will be held between November 3rd and November 10th, 2016.
