The 4th International Conference of the IFPH is now receiving poster applications.  The Poster Session is an opportunity to present and discuss public history projects using visual and material evidence, in an interactive and flexible setting. We encourage the participation of diverse public history practitioners from academic and non-academic backgrounds, including cultural institutions, publishers, commercial enterprises, online digital projects, organizations, etc.  Please send an application if you would like to present your completed or ongoing public history projects, tools, apps, digital platforms or publications such as blogs, among other Public History initiatives, in poster form.

Poster proposals should be sent to IFPH2017@unibo.it, including:

  • Name(s) and institutional affiliation (if any) of the author(s)
  • A poster title
  • A simple visual mock-up of the display in pdf or ppt format (aim for posters no larger than 90 x 120 cm.)
  • An abstract of no more than 150 words explaining the project and any special needs for poster display.

A good poster must include images to illustrate the information and a brief text that summarizes the main points. The program committee will meet after the proposed deadline to review all submissions.

Deadline to send poster applications has been postponed to: April 20, 2017
