The International Federation for Public History (IFPH), an affiliate of both the National Council on Public History (NCPH) and the Comité International des Sciences Historiques/International Committee of Historical Sciences (CISH) invites your participation to the IFPH-FIHP 2015 International Conference in China.
Our IFPH-FIHP 2015 conference will be held on August 27-28, 2015 and parallel to the 22nd Congress of CISH that will take place in Jinan, China, August 23-29, 2015.
As an official International Commission of CISH, the Federation has been allocated space to convene its own annual meeting on August 27-28, 2015. In addition to a business meeting and keynote speech, which we hope will introduce public history to the larger audience of 1500 to 2000 historians attending the conference and the Chinese Public, we will organize sessions on “Teaching Public History” and “Digital Public History” and/or “Public History and Museums.”
Proposals and presentations may be in either English or French. We hope to provide a Chinese translation locally.
Proposals should be no longer that 350 words and include a brief biographical note.
They should be sent to the IFPH Jinan Program Chair Jean-Pierre Morin jeanpierre.morin@aadnc-aandc.gc.ca and to the IFPH Corresponding Secretary, Arnita Jones arnitajones@gmail.com by March 31, 2014.
