Welcoming the 2025 Steering Committe Delegates
On December 15, 2024, the International Federation for Public History, IFPH, held its highly anticipated online elections to fill three Delegate-at-large positions on its Steering Committee. These positions, vital to shaping the Federation’s future, are for the term spanning January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028. After a thorough voting process, the IFPH proudly announced the election of three distinguished professionals: Na Li from the University of Singapore; Joana Dias Pereira, a representative of IN2PAST: Associate Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability, and Territory; and Jimena Perry from the Department of History at Iona University, New York, who will be serving her second term.

This election marks an exciting chapter for the Federation as it continues to uphold its mission of fostering global collaboration and innovation in public history. The newly elected delegates bring with them a wealth of experience, diverse perspectives, and a shared commitment to advancing the field. Their contributions are eagerly anticipated as they assume their roles alongside the existing members of the Steering Committee.
The Federation also bids a heartfelt farewell to outgoing delegates David Dean and Anita Lucchesi, whose tenure was marked by invaluable contributions and unwavering dedication to the Federation’s goals. Their legacy will undoubtedly inspire the incoming delegates as they step into their new responsibilities.

The new Steering Committee, comprising the newly elected delegates and current members, is led by IFPH-FIPH President Tanya Evans. It also includes Srijan Sandip Mandal, Joanna Wojdon, and Irmgard Zündorf. Together, this team represents a dynamic and multidisciplinary group, poised to lead the Federation in addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities within the field of public history on a global scale.
